From my studio in Charlottesville, VA, I make contemporary jewelry in sterling, gold and titanium. I have been making jewelry for over 23 years, sharing the journey and my life with my husband, two teenagers, dog and two cats….oh, and a whole bunch of house plants. My studio is in a shared industrial space where I reflect on the world around me and within me through metal. My art is an ongoing discovery of balance in opposites. With inspiration found in both architecture and the natural world, I play with the organic juxtaposed with the industrial. Nature married to the contemporary. With inspiration found in my own life and the lives of the ones I love, I pair the delicate with the hard. The muted with the bold. In all of these ways I create a union of elements that evokes the duality that exists in life; embodying the journey we take, the choices we make, and how beautiful the path can be.
